Founded in November 2004 by Dr. M.A. Zahir and Dr. Zafar Zahir, Zayn Educational Trust is a registered non-profit society committed to advancing professional education and skill development among underprivileged communities.
The Trust supports education, healthcare, rural development, and livelihood creation, focusing on inclusive growth and social upliftment. It operates two premier institutes — Synetic Business School and Synergy Institute of Management, Technology and Arts.
Zayn Educational Trust is registered with NITI AAYOG, Government of India (UID PB/2017/0163733), and counts distinguished professionals and business leaders of Punjab among its members.
Since 2018, SBS College has participated in the Government of India's flagship initiative, Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan (UBA), collaborating with IIT Delhi and NITTR Chandigarh to spearhead rural employment and development initiatives near Ludhiana.
