The lab has two parts: MongoDB and data mining tools. In MongoDB you insert documents with insertOne and insertMany, run selection and filtering queries, update and delete documents, and use projection and sorting. Then you install and use Weka or R, learn their components and basic programming, preprocess data, implement the Apriori algorithm and build a decision-tree classifier. Run the same data through the tools and compare the rules and trees you obtain.
