Antimicrobial susceptibility testing — inoculum preparation and standardization, reference bacterial strains, choice of antibiotics, MIC/MBC determination, Kirby-Bauer and Stokes methods, beta-lactamase demonstration; collection, transportation and processing of water and air samples; sterility testing of IV fluids with positive/negative controls; demonstration of serotyping, bacteriocin typing and lyophilization; safe disposal of bacterial cultures
