Unit 1: Parasite identification and viral inoculation

Routine stool examination with concentration methods (saline, iodine, floatation, centrifugation, formal ether, zinc sulphate); identification of adult worms from models/slides (tapeworm, tapeworm segments, Ascaris, hookworms, pinworms); malarial parasite thin/thick smear preparation, staining and examination for P. vivax and P. falciparum, life cycle stage demonstration; demonstration of fertilized hen egg and inoculation routes
