Art Portfolio
Subject Overview
Art Portfolio is the graduating student's capstone presentation of their creativity, design ability, technical expertise and illustration skills — a 30-35 sheet professional portfolio identifying target customers, design requirements and pricing. Students build a design philosophy statement, project sheets with inspiration/story boards and colour charts, flat working drawings and specification sheets, and design development sheets, with at least one collection reflecting Indian design ethos and mandatory sheets covering craft documentation and internship work. This is a 2-credit core practical paper.

Unit 1: Portfolio structure & content
Uniform format and visual continuity, design philosophy statement, bio-data, page of contents, inspiration sheets/story boards with colour charts per project, client profile and market indication, project naming
Unit 2: Technical & design development
Flat working drawings, magnification and specification sheets, line planning and fabric consumption, design development sheets/design journal, stylised illustration, designs spanning men's, women's and children's wear, a collection reflecting Indian design ethos, craft documentation and internship project sheets, other creative or photography work
