Subject Overview

Promotional Product Development builds an understanding of promotion and advertising and how to design promotional materials for an apparel/textile store or event. You'll study the objectives of promotion and types of advertising, then the mechanics of building ads — layout, logos, headlines, typography, and different ad formats (brochures, catalogues, billboards, magazines). Students design a complete range of advertisement material supporting a defined end product. This is a 2-credit elective paper across 2 units.
