Cascading style sheets

html<link rel="stylesheet" href="hospital.css">
cssbody { font-family: Arial, sans-serif; margin: 0; }
header { background: #0b6b3a; color: white; padding: 20px; }

JavaScript programs

html<script>
  // Compare two numbers
  function compare(a, b) {
    if (a > b) return a + " is greater";
    else if (b > a) return b + " is greater";
    else return "Both are equal";
  }
  // For loop: multiplication table
  function table(n) {
    let out = "";
    for (let i = 1; i <= 10; i++) out += n + " x " + i + " = " + n * i + "<br>";
    document.getElementById("out").innerHTML = out;
  }
  // Even or odd
  function evenOdd(n) { return n % 2 === 0 ? "Even" : "Odd"; }
  // Prime check
  function isPrime(n) {
    if (n < 2) return false;
    for (let i = 2; i * i <= n; i++) if (n % i === 0) return false;
    return true;
  }
  alert(compare(12, 7) + ", 15 is " + evenOdd(15) + ", 29 prime? " + isPrime(29));

Topic 6

JavaScript form validation

ProcessValidating a registration form
  1. 1

    Read values

    document.forms["reg"]

  2. 2

    Check required fields

    Not empty

  3. 3

    Check formats

    Email contains @ and a dot; phone has 10 digits

  4. 4

    Check passwords

    Length ≥ 8 and both entries match

  5. 5

    Show errors

    alert or a message next to the field

  6. 6

    Return true or false

javascriptfunction validateReg() {
  const f = document.forms["reg"];
  if (!/^[0-9]{10}$/.test(f.phone.value)) { alert("Enter a 10-digit phone"); return false; }
  if (f.pwd.value !== f.cpwd.value) { alert("Passwords do not match"); return false; }
  return true;
}
