Subject Overview
Textile Finishes covers the finishing stage that transforms a processed fabric into a market-ready product — one of the most commercially important areas for competing internationally. You'll study the objectives and classification of finishes, mechanical finishing operations, resin finishing and functional finishes (including denim washes), and close with packaging, folding and pressing. This is a 3-credit core theory paper across 3 units, building on Introduction to Chemical Processing from Semester 2.
