Unit 2: Strategic HR systems
Strategic staffing, strategic appraisal, strategic reward design, performance management strategies, HR strategies in Indian industries, reward/compensation/retrenchment/downsizing strategies, workforce diversity and demographic changes
Unit 3: Strategy implementation
Behavioural issues in implementation, matching culture with strategy, leadership factor in strategic change, HR strategy evaluation and control, employee engagement, talent management and retention strategies
Unit 4: Global HRM
Role of global HRM in MNC strategy, HR planning for global demand, global staffing approaches (polycentric, ethnocentric, geocentric, region-centric), training for global workforce, expatriate problems and culture shock, repatriation issues, global employee relations
