How SBS Textile Students Stole the Show at PAU's Swadeshi Mela

Representing diverse states of India on one of Punjab's most prestigious stages — our Textile Design students delivered a fashion show that drew a standing ovation.
The Stage: Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana
The Swadeshi Mela at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is one of Ludhiana's most celebrated annual gatherings — a confluence of culture, commerce, and community spirit. This year, the event's Mahila Diwas Utsav became the stage for something our students, faculty, and the audience will remember for a long time.
The Performance
The students of Synetic College's Textile Design department took to the stage to perform a vibrant fashion show, representing the diverse cultural heritage of various states of India. Each outfit, each walk, each moment was a deliberate celebration of Nari Shakti and India's extraordinary sartorial diversity.
What This Means for Our Students
The Textile Design program at SBS isn't just about stitches and fabrics. It is about developing the confidence to stand on a public stage, represent a culture with authenticity, and communicate through design.
