Sources of venture funding in India
Bootstrapping, friends and family, angel networks (for example Indian Angel Network), venture capital firms, Startup India Seed Fund, bank and NBFC loans, crowdfunding and corporate venture funds.
Topic 5
Sources of technology and IP management
- Technology sources: in-house R&D, universities and research labs (CSIR, IITs), technology licensing, open-source software and technology transfer agreements.
- IP management: identify what is valuable, protect it (patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret), use NDAs, record ownership with employees and founders, and decide whether to license or keep it.
