The last stage turns a concept into a presented product. This unit covers material exploration, surface design, the final concept and the class presentation.

Topic 1

Material and surface exploration

Test different fabrics, trims and surface techniques (print, embroidery, dyeing, pleating) on small samples, and record results; choose combinations that suit the concept and budget.

Final concept and presentation

The final presentation includes: the brief, research, theme board, colour palette, rejected and chosen concepts, technical details, material swatches and the finished product.
