Unit summary

Draping is applied to furnishings as well as clothes. This unit covers draping fabric on a bed, curtains and chairs or sofas, and the demonstration and presentation of a finished product.

Draping for furnishing

Example

Curtain for a window 1.5 m wide with fullness 2×: fabric width needed = 1.5 × 2 = 3 m (plus hem and side allowances).
